amateur field naturalists who like to explore Tasmania's landscape,
flora and fauna. Club members come from all walks of life and all age

Burnie is in the state of Tasmania, a large island state of Australia. At latitude 40 degrees south, the climate is temperate. Winters are cool and wet with some snow on the highlands. Summers are mild (22 degrees). Burnie, on the north west coast, has a very mild climate all year round because it is situated by the sea. |
